There is nothing worse than starting a project, sending it to the printer and getting it all back with a stupid printing mistake. On top of that you know you double checked everything, had another set of eyes review it and still, errors. This can drive someone insane. If you have experienced this with label printing in Markham, then here are a few tips that you can use to get better printing results.
The first thing that you need to do is take a step back and not look at the labels for about 24 hours. When we are given something to check, it may have issues with it, but since we are looking at it so closely, we can’t see this. So wait until the next day when your brain has cleared and then start looking at the labels again. In most cases, you will find mistakes that you didn’t notice before.
This leads to my next tip get a second set of eyes on your project. Have someone else look at it for you and they can see problems that you missed. If possible have them just look at the design part of it, so they don’t see what you are trying to do, just the technical part of if it will work or not.
Another thing that I like to do is print out all my labels on plain paper. This gives them a chance to sit in front of me and for me to have a second look at them without being on the screen so closely. I will get frustrated with the computer screen, but once it is on paper that frustration goes away.
We all have our pet peeves when it comes to bad printing jobs and if you don’t handle each of these very specific things; they will make a mess of your entire project!
